Chaos

Yesterday was organized,
My life seemed somehow planned,
Today my world is upside down,
And I don’t understand.

Where everything was orderly,
Now suddenly it’s changed,
Yesterday was organized,
Today, life’s rearranged.

What force has overtaken me?
What power intercedes?
How can a simple intercession,
Change my thought and deeds?

What force can be so powerful,
Or am I simply weak,
That clouds my mind and stills my lips,
Whenever I would speak?

The power of love is absolute,
It conquers, tames and stills,
Defeats desires, that I once knew,
And challenges my will.

Love’s power, I cannot escape,
With body, mind and spirit,
I’m overwhelmed by all its might,
And I don’t even fear it.

No matter the chaos, which I believe goes hand in hand with life, this is a very passionate and well-penned piece, exuding all the confusion that "love" hits us with...very nice, Ron!

I lurve it! Even with the simple and outright rhyme pattern thing that I normally don't like that much... I loved it!

My favorite lines are the first and last quatrains. ^.^ They rock!

Dear Ron,

I love this as it rings so true for most. Love can be so chaotic when we don't know its love. hehehe The chaos theory states that within all states of chaos are linear patterns. In this poem, the linear pattern, is recognizing love. The chaos is the path to it. I loved it, and thank you for sharing.
