Ecstasy is an outer force;
a rapturous touch when one is most needed,
a well timed hug dispelling an upcoming storm,

constricted nerve-ends gently kneaded,

when introspection returns, you know it was all in your head
to be called upon with whomever you chose to share your bed.
Ecstasy fills the cracks in your soul, as Freud said, and
invitations of such intimacy often collide and confound convention,
but are long remembered for their bedside attention.
