Falling In Love With Love (reminiscin' 'bout oscar)

inspiration: somebody said to me the other day "Hey - what's up big fat mama... Ooooh! sukki sukki..." I rolled my eyes... ALSO poem showing respect for the jazz pianist Oscar Peterson

Falling In Love With Love
(reminiscin' 'bout oscar)

He wham-bammed, big-fat-mamaed Ma'am
Course her homecookin' always wuz good,
Matter'a fact, best in the hood

He layed down on dem keys
"It's all respect 'round here"
He never did sang nothin' so dear

Yeah, He really do fancy dem yams
Course she always did understood
"Ya satisfies ya man handin' 'em good foods"

I mean He layed down on dem keys
Swingin' with all dis full cheer
Smiled bright when she handed 'em a cold beer

He wham-bammed, big-fat-mamaed Ma'am
Wit her whisp'rin "good got damn"
Course anyone'd get real use to it
He laid on dem keys, played for her: sweet music

"Easy Does It," she said.

Ms Jacquii,
When first I read this, I felt like I didn't do the poem justice. Like Ms FaSha said, its cool, smooth also. For me also, I noticed, when I was reading it silently, my right foot was tapping on my hardwood floor. Then I went back and read the poem aloud, still foot tappin'. That was it for me. It's seems to have a tempo to be read out loud, maybe a little jazz paino playing in the background---saloon yeah. I could actually imagine his expression as he is playing his piano playfully (Oh Lawd, tongue twister) , and smile hardy. Like on his Canadian stamp. The structure and pattern of the stanzas work very nicely with this story-telling kind of feel poem, This was hot!!!!!

Much Luv'...~*Painted Diary*~
