I never thought I'd see the day
someone like you would come my way.
I was attracted from the start
and very soon you won my heart

I never knew a smile so sweet
could sweep me off my steadfast feet,
or eyes with soft and gentle gaze
would set my empty heart ablaze.

that nothing ever could be wrong;
a love that made up for the strife
that has occurred throughout my life.

and send dark clouds so far away.
