Something New Begins

Something New Begins

Her golden blond hair rests against my chest
As we lay across the black bear rug
Pillows inundating the head of our hidden sanctum
She listens to my breathing,
~
She can hear my heart beating
My grin is enchantingly seductive
O yeah? She’s always been a zany girl.
With lustful cheeks radiating red
~
Staring at her uncovered thigh, I whisper
Your heart’s beating also
Her crystal clear blue eyes ogle into mine
Two fidgety bodies lying side by side
~
Their long slender fingers intertwined
My bare muscles scintillate as the new sun appears
Dawn radiates through green forest umbrella
Our bodies now wrapped in robes
~
We scurry down the stairs
“I’ll make breakfast” she vociferates
Something new begins for us
“A new love” Maybe?

Graphic poetic depiction and excellent depiction. Scintillate--take the "s" off. Yes, there are so many "maybes" in life. I once heard a story that: the most important and wise word is: "perhaps."

"All these lovely poems which after all give the ultimate shape to one's life," wrote D.H. Lawrence. This was definitely some shape, for now.-Ron--best wishes

That was so sweet and beautiful. Very nice imagery as well. I love the ending with the maybe. So many maybes in life, I hope the maybe of this poem happens though

Nice poem
Keep up the great work Bear
