Till The End Of Time
I haven't shared anything of mine until now, finally have a moment to go in and snag some of what I have written.
The memory of their teenage years
Cried out that their youth return,
But deep inside she already knew
That forever this wish would burn.
She placed her hand upon his chest
The tears fell from her eyes,
For seventy years they’d shared their love
At ninety-two he had died.
Oh, how she’d miss his gentle touch
And the love from this handsome man,
She leaned down and kissed his lips
Then gently squeezed his hand.
At home she gazed into their mirror
And envisions a very young bride,
His promise echoed, “Till the end of time,”
And she knew he had never lied.
She quietly laid down on their feather bed
She listened as the big clock chimed,
“I’ll see you my love,” she smiled and said
“My heart has reached the end of time.”
