With Time There Is Always Hope.~

I gave you my heart,
I gave you my soul,
You told me you would forever keep it safe,
You promised me you would always protect it,
You smiled at me with loving grace.

You were the best thing I could have wanted,
I took a chance with you,
I opened my heart with ease,
As I knew you would never hurt me,
You would never cause me pain.

And the life you had,
it shone through your eyes,
my reflection like mirrors to your soul,
you took care of me and with you i felt alive,
I never wanted to be alone again without you,
As you were my center,
My world.

The days they turned to night,
the weeks they turned to months,
we were so happy,
just you and me,
together we could face anything,
that the world threw against us,
you were my blade,
you were my sword.

Then in a heartbeat my world collasped,
It fell apart right before my eyes,
I was powerless to stop the earth crumbling,
the glass within my heart breaking,
shattered into tiny pieces of my soul.

You had gone and took my life with you,
everything i lived for,
gone in a second,
my heart will never heal,
but time will ease my pain,
and love again i hope prevail.

These are my favortie types of love poems where it's a reminiscent feeling and it's like you loved how it felt at first or you are sorta jus blank the entire time while it's happening and finally at the end the conclusion you'd expect with all the pass tense words used earlier....You ended up being heartbroken and hurt beyond healing....at this point all you can do is just move on the best way you can and continue living your life but this time around not just for somebody else; Thank you
