Walking on broken glass
some girls were made for money
fancy cars
diamond rings
a guy on each arm
with their heart in her palms.
almost everything.

some girls were made for crying
shattered hearts
broken dreams
trying hard to smile
when she's dying inside
walking on broken glass.

some boys have made a fortune
by the age of 31
got a mansion on a hill
a million dollar grin.
almost everything.

some boys just make a dollar
for a hour in the sun
getting used and abused
never get to choose
walking on broken glass

wishing on shooting stars
four leaf clovers and rabbit paws
knocking on wood
never did any good
but their knocking anyway
looking in their tea leaves
begging the fates, "Please
deal me another hand
cause i just cant stand
walking on broken glass.

This piece here was quite powerful in its poetic structure, layering, and meter. I love the contrasts of the highs and the lows...they are great, and wonderfully painted. It reads like a storem (my made-up word for a poem and story combined). You gave me an ideal for a painting that I will do. Again, great stuff artist. Take Care.
