I see I am only a memory.
I leap to catch myself, only to find I am on the floor.
I stand...I take a step back.
In your eyes I see
I see what image you portray of me
I try to paint another picture, which damages your core.
wipe it all away
and i am yours forevermore.

it has an interesting twist in the end. at first i get the impression that you are forgotten but still lamenting for that person. and then it turns more romantic, though i'm still not sure whether you were accepted. was my interpretation at all close?

it was pretty close but you dont get accepted in the end. cause it says,"wipe it all away and i am yours forevermore." so its not up to you its up to the other person to change what they see about you.
