When I Touch A Rose
When I see the dawning of a new day,
I see hope for tomorrow,
I see thankfulness for yesterday,
I see new opportunities in my love for you,
When I see the dawn.
When I feel a breeze against my cheek,
I feel the nearness of you,
I feel your love surrounding me,
I feel your arms embracing me,
When I feel a breeze.
When I hear the ocean kiss the shore,
I hear you as you call to me,
I hear the rhythm of our lives,
I hear your thoughts as they come to me,
When I hear the ocean.
When I see the full moon rising high,
I see your countenance shining brightly,
I see the reflection of your love,
I see into your heart,
When I see the moon.
When I touch the petal of a rose,
I touch the gentleness of your love,
I touch the beauty of your heart,
I touch the fragrance of your being,
When I touch a rose.
In all that is in and around me,
You are there,
When I see the dawn,
When I feel a breeze,
When I hear the ocean,

So strange you would mention, "I hope I can be this kinda love for God too". When I first started writing "When I touch a rose" it was to be an expression of Love for God. For His is the greatest love of all. When I finished I changed a few things and ended up with two poems, one a bit different from the other, one of which was a love poem for God and the other a romantic poem of love. Thank you again for responding. You are a beautiful person though I have not looked on your face you have allowed me to see into your heart.

God's love is the greatest love of all. I've been reading and learning about his Grace, and sometimes I despair about how lowly I am and how it is so hard to achieve that Love...I want to love him with all my heart, my soul. But...many times, I put other things before him "/

I will try to remember where I have filed the other version and dig it out and send it to you.
Meanwhile, under spiritual catagory I have another poem called "A love So Beautiful" It is actually words written to the tune of a song called "A love so beautiful" and was sung by Kenny Rogers and Sting. Check it out if you have time.
