Although we’re distant, and far apart..
I feel your presence in my heart..

You’re always there, almost everyday..
The essence of you in my soul to stay..

Your kiss so sweet, so sweeten a touch..
Like daisies in the mist, ”..I can’t get enough! ”

Your eyes talked love, your lips whispered too..
Filling my heart with happiness from you..

And when you spoke those words of love..
I sensed a smile from high above..

But now as you turn and look for anew..
I say you’ll never find a love, a love so true..

A love that was there when you needed a friend..
A friend who was there until the very end..

And if you’re ever feeling down or alone..
Know that I’ll be there to welcome you home..

So life lingers on as the pain recedes..
And yesterday’s love becomes today’s memories..

Dear Ken,

This was another beautiful poem that I am sure many can relate to. I love the contrast concept of yesterday and today, have loved, still love, lost love, will always love, was a friend, will always be a friend, love gone astray, and love will always be welcomed home. That is real life, real emotions, and a script for many of us. This was beautifully executed, and the rhyming scheme was impeccable. Keep em' coming, as I am simply loving your poetry!
