"To Look at the World." (Part 2). (Essay).

This is exactly what Scientists have found to be true. Up and down the Western Coast of AMERICA, there is a range of high mountains that has many parts. The ANDES, the SIERRAS, and the ROCKIES are some of their names. Off the coast, hidden under the waters of the Pacific Ocean, there are deep trenches, sharp cracks in the Earth´s crust. The MOVEMENT of the AMERICAN CONTINENTS has pushed the mountains up and the trenches down. A similar situation exists in Asia. The piece of land that is now India was once close to Australia. When the land mass hit the rest of Asia, the HIMALAYAS, the world´s highest mountains were formed. The same movement probably made the series of trenches around the coast, including the deepest underwater trench: The Mariana Trench. Both areas are likely to have EARTHQUAKES because there are stresses between the moving sections that are rigid or hard plates floating on hot, liquid rock. Scientists have used this information to form a Theory of the Earth´s Structure. It is called PLATE TECTONICS. According to the Theory, the land masses ride on these plates. It is a Theory because no one has proved that the ideas are facts. By using this theory of moving plates, Scientists can find answers to many questions. They have shown, for example, that all the continents were probably once a single mass of land. The Atlantic Ocean fills the valley that formed because the continental plates moved away from each other. The Theory of Plate Tectonics can also be used to predict how the surface of THE WORLD WILL CHANGE IN THE FUTURE. In the meantime, people FEAR EARTHQUAKES and VOLCANOES. The effects of these DISASTERS are direct. At the same time, Earth Scientists are learning how to forecast disasters and protect people by the study that began with a higher viewpoint.

Dear Ms Stardust,

Those are the most fascinating Geologic Theories. Plate Tectonics, Continental Drift, and Sea Floor Spreading. Yes, once, the land masses were as one called Pangaea, or Pangea, which is a Greek word that means all Earth. These dynamic geologic processes have caused The Ring of Fire, The Mid Atlantic Ridge, The Famous San Andreas Fault, and for some indigenous fossils and plants to be found on continents opposite the globe. What people do not know is that there are more underwater volcanoes than volcanoes on the surface!! Some village people stay on their land whether a volcano is going to blow, and stay because, volcanic ash is rich, very rich. This rich ash yields an extremely high abundance of crops, and many lose their lives, as they are incinerated by fast moving, pulverizing, pyroclastic flow. The heat is so intense that it boils the water in your brain, your body, and pops out your eyes!! Wonderful read Ms Stardust. Thank you for posting my world. Much Love and Hugs!!!

Dear Ms. Kim: Thank you so much for reading my little work and making your wise comments!! YES!! I was talking to Paul, my fellowman, last night, about all these things. I was telling him, about the severe heat in the water -in some places of the World- that makes LIFE IMPOSSIBLE. The water boils and its heat burns out all possible life around; all things get just fried.... It looks like, you have just read my mind. I was telling Paul all these things, last night, after talking to you in the Chat Box. We think, you are a VERY SMART LADY. I shall soon post more interesting Essays to entertain some of you, at this friendly Forum for Writers. It is a real pleasure for me!!...Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!! (((BIG HUGS))) Sincerely, Starry.

Dear Ms Starry,

There are places in the Ocean called Hydrothermal Vents, that spread the length of the floor! Within these areas the water can get to be 750 degrees F, and higher! These areas are RICH with life!!!!! These areas are able to survive without photosynthesis, and survive by chemosynthesis. They live off of Hygrogen Sulfide, produced by a bacteria. The creatures, have no eyes, and are albino. The Tube worms are HUGE, and very abundant! The anatomy of these creatures are replaced with a system, quite different from their photosynthesis surviving counter-parts.

Good Morning, Doctor Robinson: WOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!! You really seem like you know a lot, and I just love it, sweetheart. I am a kind of lady that LOVES TALENT and appreciates TALENTED PEOPLE!! I have just posted another goodie, in the Essays Forum. It is only Part 1. I shall post Part 2 later on. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!! I do know that, there are Rare Species of Fish in the bottom of the Ocean,- where there is no light at all and they live in the dark. Those Rare Species of Fish have light in their own body, like a flashlight. They are also blind, but have other senses. The intense pressure in the bottom of the Ocean makes life impossible for humans. Research is very hard, as well. Scientists discovered these species, a long time ago. I read Scientific Reports all the time, since I was a little girl. I love CULTURE and KNOWLEDGE of all sorts. Send you my loving, Doctor Robinson. My fellowman, Doctor Paul, sends you his kind regards too...Sincerely, Starry.
