Graduation day
I'm left here with nothing to say,
my pennance wasn't sweet relief,
the price was hers to pay,

And what a price was paid
considering my prepaid beliefs...
Of course economics class I dreamed away.
I flitted away like money; Dew on the leaf.

had I kept you not below, but beneath
maybe less now my heart would sink,
what can dew on a leaf be but the summation of my cries, nothing dry,
except somehow its not enough of a release to let it go by,

Betrayal my darling? You dare speak, your heart strings
like algebra without symmetrical geometry and home training?
This madness of rhyme we planned. This salty scheme
of nothingness. My tear-rain is but a GED. Rise hired.

dare I speak. lest I let time become a thief
once again for the rest of my life,
speak once more as before, it makes it doubly easier to remember,
how our love exploded in my face like a fallen star,

Supernova that day at Columbine
Me the puppet of purposeless gybing
That want of education blew up in my face
Now I'm but a ghost, simply vybing like poetic grace.
