It all started with a packet of seeds
To be planted with tenderness and care
At the base of an Oak, free from all weeds.
They will produce such beauty and flare.

A cacophony of colorful flowers,
They will produce such beauty and flare
With an aroma that continue for hours.

Delivered from their fresh flowerbeds.

Dear Forestdawn (I love your name),
This is yet another refreshing, aestheic, feel good poem. As a teacher, from time to time we need to read poems like this, you know what I mean. (I teach 8 - 12th grade Sciences) Your word choice was so careful, and perfect, yet flows like mountain spring water. I can see right now, that we are in for a treat, with your "naturesque", if you will, poetry. Thank you for sharing. Loved it!

Hi FORESTDAWN - This piece sounded so familiar to me... I first thought it was some eloquent style that I had seen while doing research several years back - So I did my google thing LOL

It's a very lovely example of a PANTOUM - I've read it before!!!!! On ShadowPoetry Seems a small world huh LOL

Anyway - beautiful writing - I really enjoyed this piece immensely, as it reminds me of Tennessee... Beautiful state if I may say so myself - My hometown: Oak Ridge..... So you can see I have a fondness for the Oak - Also nature in general really.

But your words are all so picturesque - It's like I can see 'clarity' in your writing - You've written a very beautiful ode to nature - I like!

Thank you for you comment. Wow! you are correct. small world indeed. Yes! You did read this poem on Shadow Poetry!! I`m still with Shadow Poetry. but I thought I would share my work with a new group as well. I`m sure as time goes on, Jacquii, you`ll probably remember many of ,my poems, as I post them.
