Lovely Sartor!

Nightlife calls me.
Through her I am free.
It's the only way to be,
all caught up in a mystery!
Born with full moon fever,
I can make you a believer!
For I am the moonchild,
truly born to be wild!

Forgive
easy to say,
but always hard to do.
It is hard to cast off the hurt,
but try.

sorry. I've been having a hard time forgiving and talking to someone...

The bed
where once we slept
no longer holds your shape...
did you think my heart would hold it
longer?

First appeared in Modern English Tanka - Vol. 2, No. 2 . (covering my copy-righted behind!)

Cinquain are really an amazing form. They force you to think through your ideas and choose your words carefully. I like your saxaphone, Painted Diary! Sartor--"full moon" was beautiful! (And so are everyone else's! I was just a ditz and posted after reading the first page.)

Bitter Irony! That was so amazing...to think...yes....no longer holds your shape...just wow! Thank you for reading my Saxquain also, lol...you are are so right about this form...Cinquains do force one to express often like not before. Additionally, word selection based on syllable count may seem restrictive for some, however, it forces one to creative heights! Best of luck on your mag as well!

Beautiful Cinquains everyone!!!!!

The Cinquain is a form that encourages the poet to trim all fat, leaving only the lean and meaningful words to convey the theme. You write it beautifully!

I've read through all the pages of this particular thread and there are some awesome Cinquain posted here. Sartor (where is this poet?) writes beautifully... so polished. I will have to try my hand at one soon.
