Frosty mornings
dewy leaves,
Solar rays
slice through
the trees.
Gentle fog
floats slowly on,
Illumitating
Forest lawn.

Simple beauties
rare from birth,
Mother Nature
mother earth.
Forest scents
of cedar fronds,
Woodland creatures
Forestfawns.

Streams
of sunbeams
fill the air,
Rainbow colors
beauty rare,
Fluffy clouds
float slowly on,
Frosty mornings
Forestdawn.
Forestdawn
Goddess of the green grove.
Honor the old ones in deed and name
let love and light be our guides again.

Hey SALLY - I hope you don't mind.... I enjoyed this poem so much - decided to make a thread of its own. It not only personifies and explains your nickname very well - but it holds a bit of mystery, a reverie of sorts that tells us of the Poet Sally Roberts.

I think it has a very lovely rhythmic flow and the rhyme scheme works really lovely.
A very nice piece of writing - I thanx ya for sharing it with us

Jacquii.

My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Beautiful poem.
Flows good too.
What would we
be without God then
we would have no Mother
Earth. Without God we
wouldn't be here today.
Mother Earth is a gift so
we must live it and enjoy
what God gives us.

Your soul connects to the heart.
Your eyes connects to the brain and you see....
The beauty of life standing still on a box of nails digging for rainbows we all want the pain because life is vain but happiness believes in itself.

Dear Sally,

Yet another classic that I missed, and so blessed to find. This was smooth, and simply flows like a meandering creek. I love the word selection as it describes a person so beautiful , and effortlessly. That person is you, and you dear Sally, have a beautiful heart and soul. We know this in your writings, and your presence. Thank you for this read.

Kim

Gee Gosh you guys. I feel honored by your comforting words of inspiration.

"Forestdawn" was given to me by one of my many muses. She showed me to a green grove, a beautiful glen with bright rays of sun streaming through the trees. And I go there sometimes in my dreams and sit under a nice shade tree and think about writing.
And that's where the poem came from.

Thanks so much all you.

Blessings
