Thank you mangodroplet, I'm glad you liked it. Yes, of course, I met Jerry the day I joined.
Page/Plant refers to the originators of the quote. In this case I called on my love of rock and roll and used a portion of the song (one of my favorites) "Ramble on" which was written by Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, the creative force behind the band Led Zeppelin. In the song they pay tribute to Tolkien's Lord of the Rings among other things. In 1970, LOTR was not well known across the US and I think this song may have helped it some.
