Hallow's Eve
Hallows Eve
On a cold windy Oct. day
The skies are a cloudy gray
An wicked eeriness now emanates
Oozing through this blessed ground
With the crimson sun and harvest moon
And the horizon’s painted burnt-orange
~
The sensitive hairs jump and tingle
On the back of your neck
As a menacing wickedness nears
Chaos and disorder rules the wind
As swirling leaves, do a vortex waltz
The eyes of death and destruction within
~
Creatures, goblins, witches and vampires galore
Among them the scariest of all, Children
Masquerade through the villages for just one night
Commandeering a feast of sweet candied treats
As sounds of screams and holler ring out the night
Loud enough to wake the living dead.
