Cumulus creations
Appear overhead
From hours of inhaling the sea,
Solar reflections
Slice through early evening,
And illuminates the ocean for me.

Thunderous clouds
So heavy with rain,
Will blanket the sky like a glove.
Waves of excitement
Crash wildly below
As if reaching the matter above.

Storms journey onward,
Tides slowly subside,
'Til the next south wind blows ever free,
And cumulus creations
Appear overhead
From hours of inhaling the sea.
Forestdawn
Goddess of the green grove.
Honor the old ones in deed and name
let love and light be our guides again.

Sally,

You are well acquainted with the sea and you help your reader feel the same. I love the way this poem opened especially this line
The Following Text Is Quoted:
From hours of inhaling the sea,
. So picturesque.

Awesome !

Thanks again Jerry:

I really try to make each poem stand up and smack the reader in the head. I polish every line until I think it's ready to submit, then I polish it again. I want the imagery to stand on it's own. And I believe I've done it with this one.

Thanks again Jer:

Blessings

I give it 5 thumbs up! I love the way it cycles, just like the process. I have seen every step in that process and you said it well, my friend.
The Following Text Is Quoted:

My Dearest Sally,

I look for poems about the Sea and Ocean....amongst my favorites. and with this, you took me to the Sea. I felt the kinetic energy and physics of the Sea. I tasted the sea salt. You have captured my attention just from the title alone. The title alone is a masterpiece. I am in awe of this piece. The repetitive lines make the paint you placed that more rich, alluring, and magical. Loved it! An excellent rating! Thank you for posting your magic! Love Ya!

This is the kind of poem that stays with you and is classic. One cannot get enough, so I will be back time and time again to read.

Kim

Awwwww Thanks Kim:

I try to polish my poetry with expertise, and then when I think it's ready, I'll polish it again. Then I'll submit them.
I love the ocean. and the salty sea that sprays upon the face with stinging exhilaration!

Thanks Kim: Glad I made you smile.
Blessings
