If it is your plan to get very far

Traveling the road of life’s hopes and dreams

You have to forever know who you are

And do not forget to be who you seem

~

Traveling the road of life’s hopes and dreams

Lies an answer ~ seek not what can’t be found

And do not forget to be who you seem

Fame and fortune is way too far renown

~

Lies an answer ~ seek not what can’t be found

The treasure is buried within your soul

Fame and fortune is way too far renown

To be true to oneself must be the goal

~

The treasure is buried within your soul

You have to forever know who you are

To be true to oneself must be the goal

If it is your plan to get very far

Such true words of wisdom Kit.
Well said and formed.
A wonderful Pantoum!
And it was needed cause sometimes we forget
who we are. Thanks for the reminder!

Nightlife calls me.
Through her I am free.
It's the only way to be,
all caught up in a mystery!
Born with full moon fever,
I can make you a believer!
For I am the moonchild,
truly born to be wild!

Thank you Moonchild, I'm catching a lot of heat for dating it a month in advance. Some people...lol.

This poem has a powerful message. It got me thinking. My future is so undetermined at the moment, it's hard to hold to some of those values. I'll try to keep them in mind.

Thanks for sharing Kit.

Ya! Who we are and who we seem, and who we think that we are...sometimes gets pretty cloudy...and we can't figure out which one is the real deal, let alone other people...

Very nice pantoum...I am a fan of the repetition!
