can anyone whisper to me
softly, if you please,
the reason for the leaves on the ground?
wet and lifeless,
waving goodbye to their mother tree

as

they

fall.

swaying side to side,
their last and fatal dance.
can you hear them screaming?
perhaps they simply hum a tune.
a farewell tune.
so long, autumn.
so long.

I liked this poem very much - It's like one last poignant wave byebye to the bygone season... Quite a nice tone, somber, but with a lingering melody of sorts, a melancholia perhaps:

The Following Text Is Quoted:
swaying side to side,
their last and fatal dance.
can you hear them screaming?
perhaps they simply hum a tune.
a farewell tune.
so long, autumn.
so long.
It's interesting write because it's as if reminiscing before the season's truly gone... A weird stigma of sorts - but a truly intriguing write.

Thanx for the sharing.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---
