Quiet despairing
flows into the empty sky
one single wail.

First ' got an
image of this
lone person, the
last native.

Then there was
the lone voice in
the crowded,
world.

Heard above all
others.

And then...

Anyhoo..

for the read.

Thanks for the images....

i love haikus, because you have to pack the most meaning into seemingly almost nothing.

Hey MS MANGO - this is a sad and lonely write - but also evocative and you're correct about the haiku - so much meaning, never a word wasted.

Interesting thing about this haiku is that this is exactly how I feel at this very moment. But who'd care to listen and hear the one wail?

Nice write.
Thanx for the sharing.

Jacquii.

Tree-thanks :] Glad it fit haiku

MsJ-the thing is....that there are some who will hear that one, lonely wail....I will, if you ever need it. And yes...Haiku is a beautiful thing. :]
perhaps.....that one lonely wail can be the beginning of music....of perhaps a sad melody that evolves to something greater....

Ms Mango,

Very beautifully crafted haiku, with all the lush elements one could feel and / or envision. Outstanding! Simply exquisite in the imagery and the melancholy feel. Love this!

Kim
