Default Ode to a Termite Sally Roberts Started This Thread
He came one day well I'm sad to say,
That termite came to my door,
He ate the porch he ate the swing
And then he ate the floor.

He ate the chairs he ate the stairs
With everything in sight,
The things I've said as he ate the bed
And swallowed every bite.

Away he flew when he was through
The things he left for me,
He got his kicks when he left the bricks
From the top of the chiminey.

Thanks Jonathan:

I had never had termites eat that far into my house. LOL

I got the inspration to write this one when I walked upon an old chiminey that was standing all alone in the woods. and thought about what had happened to the rest of the house. I then saw a few termites nearby and decided to write about them eating the house away.

Insprations come from everywhere.

Thanks for the comment.

Blessings

Sally,

Darn those termites but praise that poem.

Great meter, verse and rhyme.

Good to see your poetry again,

The Following Text Is Quoted:
