The Passages of Time
Passages of time - when moss covers stone,
Popular bridges - when crossed creak and groan.
Printed yellowed pages of history's great vast,
Pale light grey photos of memories past.
Pictures of Presley - Rock and roll king,
Pleasured the many who's heard Elvis sing,
Poetry in motion - only he could bring.
Stacks of newspapers all bundled and bound,
Stored dusty boxes tucked safely and sound,
Secrets and mysteries - yet to be found.
Silhouette rockets - first man on the moon,
Scintillates and flames both signature in tune.
Special were those - who ascended through space,
Sad for the ones in Challengers place.
Victims of wars both friendly and unkind,
Visions of life still boggle the mind,
Valiant are those who's still left behind.
Voyages, discoveries a wealth to be learned,
Volumes of data in every page turned.
Various great authors so grand and sublime,
Voices ever echo the passages of time.
