Passion Murmurs

water in my glass; dew
supple as a longing love,
lingering shadows

clock caws like ravens,
crow ticks crucial as subtle
cravings in my loins

tapping on floors
like whisperings of secret laws
at my love-soaked sheets

music like mambos:
wind on my window, raucous
like passion murmurs

his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Ms Jacquii, Whoa!!!!! This is a masterpiece!! I read this four times! How do you do it? The juxtaposition of certain words are just brilliant! So much depth and meaning. The passionate imagery came alive in my mind, left my cerebral tingling! Then, I read it out loud a few times, the words seemed to demand that type of omnipotence. I am sure you have many masterpieces, but this is Maya Angelou style! I hope to be able to write on this level one day, Ms Jacquii, {at the top of the foodchain!} LOL!! The world is yours! Loved It! What was your inspiration for this Ms Jacquii?

Much Luv'...KIM

Thanx KIM - This is the poem on the 1st page of my site JPS (http://PoetJC.info) Initially it was a series of haiku that I'd written - I decided to combine and make a longer piece - And what you've so graciously commented on is the result!

Of course the piece is about L-O-V-E... Well - me wanting it anyway LOL - I wanted to write a poem about the lust factor. That's it

Thanx for your fond words!

Jacquii.

Ms Jacquii, I simply love this, as I have read this beauty several times. How genious to combine Haikus! Yes, the L-O-V-E radiates from this piece. As I have stated, this is a masterpiece. Can we comment twice? This deserves it!!!!

Well thank you very kindly Ma'am - I appreciate the love - This is one of my favorite pieces, as I was going through a really tough time in my life as far as love is concerned and just wanted to reaffirm that it does indeed still exist!

Thanx for the comment!

Jacquii.

Thanx JEEZ, ERIK & MANGO
I appreciate your comments.
This poem is so simple, but so is love.
Thanx for taking time to see the love in this piece.

Jacquii.
