The Red-Tailed Hawk Soars
~
Today I saw a Red-Tailed Hawk
Oh, the majesty of it's flight
I breathe deeply as it turns and banks
Feeling the very spirit of the Hawk
Penetrate my very soul
~
It spoke to me of ancient spirits soaring
Looking down upon mother Earth
I feel their essence, too
I see their faces, rugged strong full of wisdom
Looking down upon Mother Earth
And her scenic vista
~
Have you every soared with the Red-Tailed Hawk?
Seen life through it’s keen eyes
Have you every slipped past the restraints of Earth
Forever to be independent
Expanding your Knowledge of learning

The Red-Tailed Hawk takes flight
Soaring into the vibrant blue skies
And into my very soul You are such a gift I love to see
I love to watch you soar and circle upon the wind
An absolute enjoyment for me
~

I was inspired by the hawk that was soaring around the river and corn fields near where I live it was truly beautiful as it just floated on the winds currents. Thank you for your great comment I realy tried to write my nature poems so that you feel your there watching.

Your so right Jer and this poem was inspired by a hawk I was watching down my the river it was just drifting across the river and corn fields it was a beautiful sight. I am luck to live in an area where we have both hawks and eagle. Thank you so much for your great comment
