A Secret

I've got a secret in my heart,
And I know just what to do.
Come and listen, just a moment,
I'll share it all with you.
Put a smile on your face,
And feel it warm your heart.
With a spring in your step,
This is just a start.
Stop and say hello,
And a kindly word or two,
To those who seem to need it,
Just as you feel you do.
Give praise as it's earned,
Keep criticism light.
If ever caught in argument,
Do your best to set it right.
Keep your garbage in the trash,
And the trash off of your lips.
Don't just stop to smell the roses,
When there's daffodils and tulips.
Not everyone will hurt you in the end,
There's many people you haven't met.
Remember that the sun will always rise,
Not long after it's set.

Dear Serenity,
I find this to be refreshing, great rhyming skills, and tells a very nice story. The dedication is very thoughtful as well. These two lines need to be put on a billborad!

Great flow, I like the analogies and how the everyday life presents something new, not always the same...sun will always rise not long after its set or don't just stop to smell the roses, when there's daffodils and tulips. It also addresses society and how some of us "deal" with unjusts and how we "should deal" with unjusts...If ever caught in argument, do your best to set it right. Keep your garbage in the trash, and the trash off of your lips.
