Default Silken Baby Curtis Spider Lee Started This Thread
A silken face.
A baby's face.
Moon lights at your door step.
Sweet song voice.
Sweet mother's voice.
Now whispers sweet songs-
as silken baby slept.

So says the Man bitten by poetic Spider LOL - a very interesting poem that can be read many different ways CURTIS - I enjoyed this short poem very much.

Thanx for the sharing

Jacquii.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Spider, Silken Baby, huh? I'm kinda getting a picture of a spider murmuring and soothing a "catch" in her silken web. lol! Or am I letting my imagination run away? It could just be a soft, luscious little baby in her bed, having a wonderfully peaceful slumber...as they tend to do.

Nice one!

Dear Spidey ,

Hmmmm...a baby's face, or a baby spider's face....but a spider would moonlight at my doorstep. As I hate spiders...however, for only you did I envision, a baby spider, beig sung to by its hairy mother (lol), and slumbering peacefully. Oh my goodness, what a vision! Loved this poem Spider!!! I also thought the scheme of aa b cc d b was very nice, and added that unique touch to the poem. But you have me lookin' around now for any unwanted silken babies!!!!! LOL Love Ya!!

Wow...I also have a vision of being caught in that web...and 'mother' comes to check on her 'little one' until the appointed time. Great work here.
