SPRING INSPIRES ME ~ DOUBLE ETHEREE

Warm
sunshine
puts me in
the mood to write
when spring returns with
flowers delight. From bees
to butterfly wings to the
wake up call that the robin sings
to pretty petals and garden swings.
April rains a bit of inspiration.
Sprouting her flowers in exultation,
A spider in dew of sun-drop dawn
weaves his silk web on fresh cut lawn
while bunnies chase their fluff tails.
Inch worms inch up cattails.
Spring has much to write,
from birds in flight
to raindrops
on a
bud.

© April 17, 2007 Karen Davies

Nightlife calls me.
Through her I am free.
It's the only way to be,
all caught up in a mystery!
Born with full moon fever,
I can make you a believer!
For I am the moonchild,
truly born to be wild!

Love this poem! Your images are vivid and the lines easy to read. I don't know much about poetry forms so it took me a few minutes to realize what you were doing, lol. I love how the syllables are increased in each line then it mirrors back down.

The above quote, to me, is the most vivid and on the same line as I see flowers in Spring. I feel like dandelions, the bane of a lot of property owners, are Mother Nature's way of saying, "Look what I can do!"

hugs,
Gail

Aw! This is a beautifully inspired write of Spring KAREN - I like it - flows just wonderfully - BUT...........it's 36 in Tennessee this morning and has been cold all week long - MS GAIL just said it's snowing in Pennsylvania o_O --- Where the hell is Spring??? LOL

Great poem though- love the shape of the double etheree = Thanx for the sharing!

Jacquii.

ps - very nice image to go with the poem too.
The words describe the scenary quite nicely

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Thanks so much for the sweet words Jacquii*hugs*
I always liked the shape of these too. It's finally getting warmer here in Pa.
but where on earth was it snowing here in Pa, not where I live
which is not to far from Philly.

Oh Gail it was snowing out in Pittsburg...shows how much I watch
the news...lol No really I do watch the news every day I guess I just didn't
know for some reason. It was like 72 degrees today where I am.
Glad I'm not near Pittsburg. My friend's cousin lives in Pittsburg.

Very, very, nice,

Here in California, the baby cottontails are out in mass. A few snakes too.
