Disclamer: I know the swan isn't a migratory bird.
EDIT: Huge typo...
Swan
Life carries on like a bird like a swan,
As we swim through the sea,
As clouds carry on,
Through the mist I go and thee.
Torches of wishing have long since dismayed,
Mists can't be stopped nor be delayed,
The clouds won't part if we beg or we pray,
We must think lest we lose before day!
The thunder surrendered but the wind is still there,
A swan through the mist soon will appear,
Beat but not beaten he'll look on for where,
As the river enrages he will not fear!
Gusts still persist and the swan is now wary,
His wings are graying but he must not wait,
For if he stops the winds him will carry,
And then he'll just be an angry shark’s bait.
Of land after two days of strenuous journey,
There isn't a sight nor is there a scent,
But on the horizon a sun set is burning,
With glorious flare the swan is hell-bent!
And yes it's true in a day or two,
The swan had landed the struggle is through.
