Default A Foolish Heart KingAce Started This Thread
A mislead heart descended upon deception,
Imprisoned by emotions,
Only to be concluded with either the happiest or unpleasant ending,
Happiness that enhances the soul in an eminent blaze,
Unpleasantness that petrifies possibility,
Distorts fantasy and corrupts dreams and futures;

A mislead heart descended upon deception,
Imprisoned by emotions,
Only to be guided toward a fork in the road,
Where opposites can be put into play,
One road dark and Winding with perilous twists and turns,
The other gold paved and soothing to the eyes;

A mislead heart descended upon deception,
Imprisoned by emotions,
Brings you down the golden paved road,
Only to be mutilated through a series of untouchable happenings,
Possessed by iniquity obtained within the cold blood of Satan,
As a now fallen Angel you are picked up and dusted off by darkness,
Depression is the leading emotion in your life, Until Death;

A mislead heart descended upon deception,
Imprisoned by emotions,
Brings you down the dark and winding road with impeccable twists and turns,
Only for you to be given a second chance by a heart equally as foolish,
Although two heads are better than one,
Two fools can conquer all because they have nothing left to lose,
Through this impenetrable love comes the innermost peace;

A mislead heart descended upon deception,
Imprisoned by emotions,
Core components combined to determine your purpose,
You can unearth peace or impurity,
Only if your brain can prevent tearing itself apart,
During the development of a FOOLISH HEART;
"From the ashes to my heart, love burns resiliently as a phoenix..." -Asylum

King,
During such a development or "your Mislead Heart", has gone through quite a bit! What was your inspiration for this piece? The poem or "Mislead Heart" I should say, is quite true and sad, yet evolves into more strength in the end. I liked that. At the end, the "Heart", seems to now be in control, and is perhaps strong enough to make a choice, as to which path. Even being torn, one can still love, and in love, one can tear every cell in their significant other's brain, soul, and heart. Almost like a gamble, however, we all hope to win in the end, don't we? Great Job King! Very Talented Indeed!

Kim

Thank you for the responses Kim, ummm my inspiration for this was mainly past heart breaks caused by ex's, friends and family members who sorta left me hangin...sad but it happens I forgive them and if I did anything I hope they can forgive me too, life goes on;

Hey KINGACE - very very nice piece of poesy - I like the style - the repetive phrase/line works very nicely.

I'm fond of saying "I love to act the fool, but don't confuse it with being one - foolish is a whole different story..."

Anyway - that's the feeling I was getting from your poem. But there's also enpowerment in your words:

The Following Text Is Quoted:
Although two heads are better than one,
Two fools can conquer all because they have nothing left to lose,
Through this impenetrable love comes the innermost peace;
Interesting concept, as I actually love having nothing left to lose... It's a certain kind of freedom that is inherent when one has nothing to lose. It reminds me of that cliche spoken in The Matrix: Ignorance is bliss...

And then my reminder is solidified when I read the very last two lines:
Only if your brain can prevent tearing itself apart,
During the development of a FOOLISH HEART

'Tis the 1st time I've ever heard of anyone actually encouraging the development of a foolish heart LOL - Very nice concept indeed - Makes me smile to think that there can be a gaggle of fools in a world filled with bliss, euphoria & peace.

Nice piece - Thanx for sharing!

Jacquii.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Thank you for the comment Ms. Jacquii I guess I didn't really realize that this is promoting a foolish heart, I actually meant it to fall in the theme of people sacrificing to be with another and having a foolish heart on purpose because love caused their heart to be that way....iono thanks for the comment anyway
