Re: Holding On To My Heart
Arthur,
I always enjoy reading your poems. I especially like the first stanza of this poem. What a wonderful image of a train going through a valley. It’s so peaceful and serene. I would love to see you continue the train theme through your entire poem. Buy a ticket, take it for a ride, tell your poem while looking out the train window, heck rob the thing if your want. It just seems like a fun idea to build on.
It’s lovely as it is, but it came to mind, a “train of thought” might make a wonderful poem. For a quite awhile, I’ve wanted to take a train ride, maybe just a day trip, have lunch somewhere and return. I thought it might be a good way to do some writing.
