When reading this I smiled and imagined Summer Love and your words wrapping their arms around me, and squeeze. LOL Amazing how words written can affect us, and you have done a fine job here. OK, I hugged myself, lol, that's how I felt...completely tranquil and joyous. Thanks Mysty for another amazing write! Loved it!

Hey now, Mysty.........


I thought this to be a very vivid write - short words, one sentence - a lifetime of meaning. It was very visual for me.

My area is in the midst of a week of angry clouds and drizzle, for me and my short-term memory that's long enough to forget what summer is truly like. After reading your
work, I remembered what I have in store for me soon enough - :smiles:

I also thought the form you chose for your poem was, no, is perfect for the content. Very precise with great symmetry......

Hey MYSTY - I thought this poem was just so light and serene
A beautiful depiction of Summer actually - so breezy and romantic
I do have to admit - I do go for romanticism...
Anyway - I thought the 1st 4 lines were magnificently rendered:

Sweet really - now Only if we can really feel the beauty of the Summer
As opposed to the scalding of upper 90s LOL - It's been one of the hottest summers on recent history in Oak Ridge, Tennessee thus far...
And as much as I like seeing records broken - I would really not like to see 107 degrees

At anyrate - really enjoyed the simplicity your poem evokes.
