The responses are more entertaining than the original item, so maybe that was the whole point.

But then we'd all have to concede that zaac used a bit of genius to illicit such responses. And I simply refuse to believe that there's any genius about zaac LOL - just kidding.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

That may well be true. We'll just have to wait and see what else Zaac comes up with.

He's been around JPiC since we first opened back in 2006. So I'm confident he'll have much more poignant work to share than "I AM"

zaac Hmmm - I saw you posted a piece on Facebook! Gonna share it here? hmmm

what it took in life to get
a soul to the point

Seriously? Really? No more poignant than "I AM" -- If you're going to seriously argue that, you should have made "law" your career field of choice. Also "I AM" doesn't really speak on "who" you are - but rather, simply that indeed you are... Hmm - Perhaps I should've been an attorney too

Now - this piece (this most recent response) is more poignant than the "I AM". Perhaps you should have posted that You so silly!

as barney fife says...now, andy dont be fasishuss, dont be fasishuss.

if you took your statement, every time you read the words I AM, it tastes like ambrosia, you're on the right track. go with it.

you sprinkle a few seeds some fall in fertile ground...but sometimes they fall in the cracks where there is little dirt and no room to grow...and sometimes they fall on stones, easy targets for the birds. you just have to know which is which...or how not to worry about it at all.

MsJ,

must beg to differ on your notion that I AM says nothing more than i exist. Extrapolate that out for a bit. If i know i exist, there is more to me than a pulse and air passing through my lungs, or head, depending on your opinion. that being the case, if i can make a two word statement like this, which incidentally now has 555 reads lol, it means that i looked into myself past the skin i'm in. extending that thought, if i did that, then i must have seen all the good the bad and the ugly, everything people told me that i was or wasnt, threw out the lies and horseshit, and grabbed onto life with a death grip, survived the transformation, and know that being able to say those two words free of the past, of wounds, of my own sabatoge isnt a place everyone gets to in life. so in gratitude to my Creator, and in ecstatic amazement, I stand to say, I AM.

Kind of a short hand whitebread way of saying....

how u like me now?
