Default First lines of books you've read! Sally Roberts Started This Thread
Okay guys, MsJacquii gave me the idea for this new thread, which came from her thread 1st lines game your OWN ideas. She said it would be brilliant if we could post some first lines from some of books we've read.

What are you all reading? Give us some samples.

Here are some first lines from one of my favorite books...(taken from the lines I posted in error in MsJacquii's game. sorry MsJacquii)

This is a story about something that happened long ago when you were your grandfather was a child. It is a very important story because it shows how all the comings and goings between our own world and the land of Narnia first began.

The Magicians Nephew by: C.S. Lewis book 6 in the chronicles of Narnia ( Author of The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe.)

Blessings
