Breathing, relaxing
in the arms of the loved one
brings eternal peace

A lonely girl asks
"When is it time to become?"
And no one answers
"To the world you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world"

love is there: Venus.

Moon & Venus
Every once in a while, something will appear in the sky that will attract the attention of even those who normally don't bother looking up. It was that way on Saturday evening, May 19, when a slender crescent Moon, just 15-percent illuminated, appeared in very close proximity to the brightest planet in the sky: Venus

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

War machines gone mad
Hedge rows in lamentation
Soothsayers mutter

Young girls are lonely
As soldiers fly flags enough
To fill a foreign sky

After the parade
Only shadows share his tears
His boy gone to war

Though dilapidated
You whose names written in blood
Fly your flags with courage

Night sky, with pinpricked holes,
letting heaven's light shine through.
Dots of light - called stars.
