Sad News for the world of Opera. Pavarotti died today at the age of 71 from Pancreatic cancer. May God rest his soul.

I read earlier - Indeed a great loss to the Opera community.
Never has there been such a prolific Tenor as Pavarotti - Doubt there will ever be.
Such a booming and strong voice... Actually listening to a brilliant Opera - Puccini's Turandot... Of course the main Tenor = Pavarotti...

Anyway - I'm gonna post the official Associated Press news story in just a sec.

Thanx for posting MYSTY

Jacquii.

his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Yeah - I know what you mean - He was a legend and his music will live on... I did post the AP article - it was a little scandalous - but hoped to offset the scandal with some beautiful pictures and one of my most favorite sections of Turandot ----> http://jpicforum.info/general-chat/l...07-a-4546.html

Oh my, I thought this was a poem about Pavarotti...absolutely love him! It seems like cancer is running even more rampant than before...I have never heard about, or known, this many people with cancer at any other given time. So sad to hear of his passing...can't wait to hear him singing in heaven...twill be heavenly indeed!
