Prayers Needed

Tanner Cox, the 12 year old son of a man I work with, has final stage brain cancer. He has been given 29 months since his diagnosis, but now he has progressed to the point that he is having seziures one after the other and they have called Hospice to come help take care of him during his final hours. Tanner has fought a good fight and has never lost his humor nor fallen to low spirits. He has been a trooper...
Please keep this family in your prayers and pray that Tanner has no pain. I am close to this family and I just wanted to share this with my family in JPiC.

Dear Benny ...... I will pray for him ..... and his family that there is not so much pain. And I offer this up in comfort. I wrote this some years ago and it has been used at several funerals I attended for the deceased one. It is even engraved on a headstone somewhere in Australia. I gave permission as it gave the family comfort. Anyways.... use as you see fit.

Borrowed Angels

God creates new Angels
they come on borrowed time.
Some are given long lives,
the others are shorter still.
When our Angel came to us,
we really always knew,
however long or short the time,
it was always Gods will.

In my prayers too...here is a poem I wrote one month before my son almost died in a tragic car accident:

In His Hands

We’re in His Hands!
Strong hands, full of power,
Full of compassion and grace.

We cannot comprehend the mercy in the strength of His hands,
Nor the meekness of His power, until we have rested in His guidance.

He carries us where feet dare not tread and hearts dare not feel.

We’re in His hands,
Hurt hands, bearing our crosses,
Pierced, pinned and bloodstained.

We cannot grasp the mystery of comfort, which springs forth from His wounds,
Nor the meaning of restoration that lies in the scars of His hands.

He hides us where evil cannot come and devils cannot see.

In His hands. . .

Benny...I pray with you today that God will be gracious as always to His little ones, and that Tanner will have no pain...he will be lifted up to be with Christ and given a brand new body...one with no imperfections in which he will glorify our God....until you and his parents see him again.

Cancer is spreading so much it seems like lately...I know one 9 yr-old girl who just died this year from brain cancer...she lived just 6 mos. after diagnosis. Another 24-yr old just left behind 2 kids, and my cousin is fighting it as we speak, as her ex just died last month from the same thing....my dentist just had surgery and is taking chemo as well...I pray for everyone who is fighting this disease, in whatever form...that they will get renewed strength from our Lord...the peace that passes all understanding and the joy of the Lord in their lives...lighting up the spirits of everyone around them as they glorify God in their illnesses and pain...as He has promised not to give any of us more than we can bear. Amen.

a praying as well. the moment he passes will be a sad day here, but a celebration in heaven. how it must feel to be 12 and hear well done thou good and faithful servant.

I am so sorry for not replying to this post before. I have just seen it, dear Benny.
YES!! I´ll be praying for your friend´s son,12 -year- old child, Tanner who suffers from brain cancer.
Dear Lord: I lift up Tanner to You, Lord. Please, embrace him with Your loving arms and let him feel Your unconditional love, compassion and mercy. You are in control of our lives, and Your Will be done, Lord. I lift up the sick and the troubled ones among us to You, Father. Give them peace, rest and comfort that only You and You alone can give. In Jesus´most precious Name, I pray. AMEN.
