Just thought I'd make a post dedicated to the great Steve Irwin "The Crocodile Hunter" who shockingly and very sadly died yesterday.
The mans love, respect and dedication to animals was outstanding. He helped save 100s if not more from cruelty, neglect and injury and cared for each animal he dealt with as if they were his own flesh and blood.
Many people tried to imitate him after his success by doing "daring" things with dangerous animals but it was all 4 show with no respect for the animals they were dealing with whereas Steve ALWAYS showed complete respect and understood every animal he dealt with.
In my eyes and probably millions of others that makes him a fantastic person and a huge, sad loss.
My heart goes out to his wife and his two children who mst be devastated at this time.

Sadly, I can agree with. But why are people saying this is shocking? The man played with deadly animals for a living. This is not shocking. Rant over.

I admired him for his wildlife preservation efforts. Off-camera he was influential in preventing "Crocodile Tours" for the wealthy, and helped prevent the legal hunting of many species in Australia.

The world lost another decent man, a great spokesperson, and a caring activist.

A terrible loss, one I think will live in the hearts of everyone for quite some time, not just Australians.
