Ah! Chattin with you just briefly in the Chatbox - so this section is just a bit of a larger work - I tell ya - it's gonna be some piece of writing once all the parts are tied together thematically - cause the storyline and the writing itself are both novel!

I can hardly wait to get my autographed copy of the novel once you publish!

Jacquii.

“I do use powerful words to evoke emotion, but also to stimulate imagination. If one can 'see' the words dance before
his eyes - then he can likely feel, smell and even taste them as well. And I do thoroughly enjoy really tasty poems.
My poetry is an emotions-fest sprinkled with a little garlic salt, Mrs. Dash, fresh ginger and Tabasco sauce...
My poetry is like a piece of General Tso's chicken tossed in ghetto soul.” ---

Gail, this rocks! I am a total horror scifi fan and am intrigued and awed. I try to write stories too but, sadly don't have the discipline. Keep it up

Ok, I read this 3 times and I tell ya, it has a very natural and captivating flow to it. It is as if we , I (the reader) is right there. That is genius in itself to accomplish that. The build up with flavors of hints is just mazing AND just enough. I was asking the same questions as she was when hearing the voices...nice! I love the inlay of the italics for emphasis. The development of the story is beautiful, natural, easy to follow, and quite intriguing. This story is crave-able, and lingers, and is a novel...yes. I absolutely LOVE this and you did a fine job, a mighty fine job indeed! Take heed to what Ms Jacquii said in her response...I second the motion, and I can't wait for this to be complete..read like a magnum opus...just Love ya Sis...keep it comin!

Kim

Ok, I have rosacea, all this blushing is bad for my skin, lol. Seriously, thanks Kim for taking the time to read and comment and what a comment, lol. I am so proud of this one and it really helped a serious writer's block to explode, lol.

As for the submitting...I'm just not that confident in my ability (I know that's hard to believe, I'm also shy, harder to believe, I know, lol. Meet me in person and you'd see, lol) as a writer and feel my ability is way below those of others I've read. But I do love it when my ego gets stroked! Hear me purring?

hugs,
Gail

LOL @ Gail....and I feel the same about my ability, however, Gail you are indeed in my opinion up there (yes you are girlfriend) with those writers and don't you forget it. I have said before Ms Jacquii was my mentor on another board prior to this one, and there was no way I was gonna be without her. lol. She opened my otherwise, closed world to writing and I am getting better thanx to her and my friends on this site. Please gain more confidense because you ARE a brilliant writer. Love ya!

Hear my roar? lol

Dr. Rob has spoken...lol

From your mouths to publishers ears, lol. I'm content, I think, right now, to work on Eilia of which this is one chapter, just not sure which book of the TRILOGY, lol. How's that for confidence? First one introduces, Keirn, Brinn, Eilia, Ainie, and Tomas. Samina will be brought in the last chapter, wooohooo! It will cover up to when such and such and such and such happens, the next one will cover the training for the battle to come, and the third will be the battle and what happens when the Chosen comes back. (Don't remember the Chosen? Read the prophecy again, lol.)

I heard you roar in my sleep! Holy crap! No wonder I'm so tired, lol. Up til 3 am playing and working but I now have 4 1/3 pages of single spaced story! So cool! Can't stop saying that. You'd think I'd be able to come up with something better, lol.

I love that song, The Wind Beneath My Wings, for a reason, so does everyone else, but sooner or later you have to start flapping your wings. I'm still gliding a bit but can you see them fluttering? This place has helped me (no sucking up here, cause you know I can do a much better job of it than this) to realize what potential I could have and still understand I'm toddling compared to the runners around me. I'm ok by that. I hate falling on my ass (even though the padd...never mind!) so I'm willing to do one step at a time, lol.

Ana's compilation, The Persistent Mirage and the small publications I've been in is enough for me to be able to get my head in the front door if I turn it sideways, lol. It gets more swollen and I'll be sleeping on the porch, lol.

hugs,
Gail
