I on behalf of the entire JPiC Moderating Team welcome you to the JPiC Community. We know that a community is only as strong as its Members. So we thank you for being part of this amazing, growing haven of Poets & Writers!
Please adhere to the following guidelines so that we may keep the forums running smoothly (with a minimal amount of drama), as well as thwart any possible problems before they occur. If you have any questions regarding our posting policies, please feel free to Contact the JPiC Administrator or File a Support Ticket. We will be happy to assist.
Jacquii Cooke, JPiC Administrator.

General Rules of Member Conduct- While debating and discussion is fine (in their appropriate forums of course), we will not tolerate rudeness. Neither insulting, racist, homophobic, ageist posts, nor posts of personal attacks or purposeless hate are allowed here. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
- As a forum for writers, we all love positive comments on our works. There is actually a section for "in-depth" critique and suggestions: The Critique Saloon - So unless the author of a posted piece SPECIFICALLY REQUESTS "in-depth" critique - Please confine your comments to "general" commentary.
- Spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members. **NOTE** A general rule of thumb is to post only one written work per started thread, otherwise your post may be considered SPAM and deleted as such.
The Following Text Is Quoted:
Quoted From Wikipedia:
Spamming is the abuse of electronic messaging systems to indiscriminately send unsolicited bulk messages. While the most widely recognized form of spam is e-mail spam, the term is applied to similar abuses in other media: instant messaging spam, spam in blogs, and Internet forum spam.
- Spamming personal website links are prohibited. Posting your unsolicited personal website links in your posts & threads, the JPiC Chatbox, the Community Shoutbox and/or other Forum areas may be considered SPAM and are subject to being deleted. If you have a personal website you seek to promote - You may place the link in your Forum Signature or Edit Your JPiC Profile to include your link. We especially encourage you to place your website links in the JPiC Toplist (requires a reciprical backlink...) and/or the JPiC Link Directory. --- Additional SPAM policies is posted in the Policy: External Links section...
- Discussion in the JPiC Chatbox is fine and encouraged. Though if a heated conversation ensues and the discussion gets really "off-the-hook" - we would encourage Members to take the chat to the Live Chat arena or various instant message programs like MSN or Yahoo. Of course flaming, spamming, and other anti-forum activity is not allowed in the Chatbox, and may be subject to banning.
- Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping posts. Remember the golden rule of writing message boards: You comment and show love for a writers work, so shall you be blessed!
- **NOTE** Little one word replies to a writers work are DISCOURAGED! The author put time into creating & posting their piece... Likewise - One should take the time to leave more than the rather insulting one, two or three-word comment. We are writers right? We can string together two or three or four sentences of a comment in the spirit of sharing the poetic love right? Perhaps 5 sentences if we are feeling particularly generous or have perhaps been moved by a brilliant piece. I think yes! But just in case ==> CLICK HERE to see an example of "appropriate" feedback...
- Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.
- This is mostly an English-as-first-language forum. If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post.
- Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
- We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to our forum is a privilege and not a right.
Thanx for your cooperation,
JPiC Moderating Team
