There are many within the writing world who have very distinct opinions on the issue of censorship. From the mild warning of age-appropriateness (ie. the PG, PG-13, G & NC-17 rated film) to those who'd like seek to shutdown a novel's debut... Some would seek to put all "provocatively clad" ladies out of the mainstream view ==> Etcetera... etcetera...
The JPiC Stance On Censorship
JPiC Forum For Writers has taken an extremely liberal approach to the censorship issue: THERE IS NONE.
Well. There is very very little of it at anyrate.
The JPiC Administrator has decided to make this a non-censorship community. As with laws of the land, there may be the rare exception made... So with this in mind - Let's just go over some ground rules that will let us keep our exceptions down to the bare minimum: - Hateful speech and flaming of Community members will not be tolerated.
- Harrassment of any kind is neither wanted here, nor will it be acceptible, and is subject to immediate banning.
- An adage: "Treat people as you would want them to treat you." This is the type of environment that we hope to create here - so that rule is particularly important!
Now as far as writing works are concerned:
Unnecessarily violent, objectionable, pornographic, racist, homophobic and/or hateful in anyway is not acceptible. Use common sense.

That's it! Remember the goal here is to celebrate diversity with our typed words. JPiC is a Community of Poets & Writers FOR Poets & Writers. Let's continue creating a community in which we can be proud to call home ==> Have fun, happy posting AND 3 cheers for free speech!
Regarding Our Policies The JPiC Forum Posting Policies are rules compiled from a host of accepted "Forum Etiquette" which have been embraced by various other online writing communities. These particular policies have been customized to fit the easy, laid-back atmosphere we are creating here at JPiC Forum For Writers. We do ask that you follow these guidelines so that we may achieve our goal of providing all members with an enjoyable, drama-free JPiC experience. Feel free to Contact the JPiC Administrator should you have any issue with them. | | | |
