Beki...I'm so sorry to hear about your son...indeed that is a huge hole that never closes...I lost a daughter at only 30days old...I can't imagine what it would have been like to watch her grow up, then lose her....sympathies...

Critique - yes, we do welcome critique, even if we can't critique any of yours...many of us here just want to learn and get better at our craft...if it would behoove your time and energies for such, we would most definitely appreciate it... I don't think I've ever seen anyone here get upset at honest critique before...even in the regular posting forums there have been suggestions made to poets about improving particular pieces...and it's up to them to take the advice or ignore it....most often is very appreciated and accepted.

Hi Bekilyn

I am Latisha. Nice to read you. I too am sorry for your lost and congratulations on your many blessings and accomplishments. I am a newbie-here, just like you and I have got to tell you, I really love this community of writers and really nice people. I am not really the type to put myself out there but for some reason, here-I feel as though I can be myself. This forum to me feels inspiring, friendly, warm and very welcoming. I hope you get that too. WELCOME and nice to meet you.

P.S Miss Nomad, I am also really sorry about your lost, I am a new parent and honestly my daughter has changed my world and way of thinking. I can't imagine and don't want to imagine how it feels to lose a child no matter how old they are.
My greatest masterpiece is still under construction, but I am in no hurry, I’m just enjoying the journey:
