[Poetry]

A peaceful morning with a cup of honey-lemon tea to you all. Though it is summer in Orlando, it is welcome few degrees cooler this morning. The sun has not yet risen so the lake is still. It gets strange here as it gets cooler. When you don't hear the sound of a dozen air conditioners, it seems almost too quiet. And then you hear bird song again. And after awhile, as the the dawn moves on, the thermostats fire one by one and the chorus of air conditioners begins again.

Michael....Nice to read ya!!! Welcome to the JPiC Community for writers !!! Very nice intro......my brother lives in Miami and has spoke of the chorus of air conditioners, lolol. Never thought I'd ever say such again - but I'm in love with POETRY

At the sake of keeping my sanity and my tarnished name - I will say howdie and such a merry meet MR MICHAEL - nice to know ya and welcome to the JPiC Community! I'm in Tennessee and though I don't know the sound of many airconditioners - I do fall winky-eyed and gracefully-asleep by the mur of my fan.... Even in December when the iced-tea talks bad about me and tosses snowballs at my nose - the mur of the fan.... I think it watches me actually. I think it's my sanity more than I'm even sane.......... Different story entirely ---- But I do welcome you to JPiC!

Welcome to the site... I can hear those ac's firin' up now, I was down Orlando/Kissimmee way about (oh my head), 17 years ago.... (Just where do those "sands of time" go to.....)
Anywho, it was a tad "sticky"..... Look forward to readin' ya...
