it's the light and passion that i feel when i listen
the way it sweeps me off my worries and into to a place where everything is different
where it's all i wished for my world to be... and more... more then i'll ever know

there is nothing like this
this is my island
there is no place in my life like this
this can only be spirit....
it can only exsist in my soul
let me lay here forever

sometimes i put on a front, wishing i could be apart of
whatever there is that brings people peace...
fads... passing trends....
but nothing is more true
more real then the soul i feel when i listen
to the imagination
to my dreams....
to my wishes my hopes....
damn all and everything that will ever come against or break these precious treasures.....
they are all that brings me peace.

I gave you an excellent rate. This poem was medicine to my soul. I appreciate your words and thoughts. I too visit that space within myself that is my sanctuary. I revel in joy as the tides roll in, I decorate the walls with paintings, collect books in the library, have music playing, and a door to the nature where I can escape to freedom, my soul soaring, visiting places only the imagination can forge. I can dance, jump, act crazy, laugh at myself.

All the material things on earth cannot compare to this place. They only bring temporary joy.
