Default The Box Sealiah Started This Thread
Ringing ringing in your ears
Their laughter and their scorn -
Dripping dripping down the tears
That fall from the Reborn

Wild is the heart that flies
Yet tangled are the chains -
Ever reaching for the Eyes
Of Wild souls they claim.

"Step not off this path
Wander off not far -
For ten lashes each sin shall receive
Ten laughters rip apart esteem."

Ripping Ripping out the heart
Watching blood drip down the drain -
Falling falling through the dark
The bright soul now is slain

Another act of murder gone
Another soul to steal
The laughers sing the darkest song
Move on to the next meal.
Vos Vestros Servate, mehos mihi linquite mores. "You keep to your own ways, and leave me to mine." ~ Sealiah
Trust in your heart. Trust in your Soul, and even if you go wrong, you'll know you did your best.

Wild is the heart that flies
Yet tangled are the chains -
Ever reaching for the Eyes
Of Wild souls they claim.

You make me cry with your review, Erik. ^^ But thanks, because your work inspired this, and the words just flew off my fingertips right to the screen. I haven't had a muse quite like you in a looooong time.

First off that quote is awesome and flows so well with what you have written...I often find that poems of a more darker or sadder feel appeal to me much more than others and this one brings you down to the depths of soul stealing and it provides such vivid imagery in a very abstract manner, Lovin it much...Thanks for the read;

Sealiah, this really brings to the surface the rage in me for all those who are taken advantage of and put down and the expectations of society to “fit in” or be considered strange. Unconscionably dismissing or decrying the “underdogs.” Awesome poem…thanks for sharing this one.
