I don't usually do humor but i'm trying for you guys this is a sarcastic poem,

Bubble gum heroes,
make great reality stars,
so we can watch them act like zeroes,
and forget who they were,

Champaigne laced skies,
capture me on a high,
who's the Ghost of Christmas past?,
you mean he hasn't died yet,

catching up on MTV,
thinking about Sweet 16,
When I turned 16 I think I got punched allot,
other than that it was so memorable that I forgot,

letting loose about Paris Hilton,
as if loose has never been used about her before,
you know who would make a better singer,
how about her chaufeur,

this pop reality is confusion,
in it you can really sink,
cause its so stupid its addictive,
and realities curse is lifted.

LOL! Good one, Erik! I really enjoyed this. The lines I really liked were: "Who's the ghost of Christmas past, you mean he hasn't died yet?" This allows the readers to use their own imaginations to fill in any name they like. For a first attempt at sarcastic humor, you've done very well!

Dear Erik,

As Nero said, give the populace bread and circuses. TV does that so well ....

The colleseum was opiate of teh mases to the romans computers, cell phones, and tv are the opiates of our modern society their supposed to be enhancement but really how do they improve our culture their just cheese for mice distractions to reality and bettering yourselfs eevryone should read as many books as tv they watch, how ever has tv fascinated the ikmagination when it focuses on arguments, and fake peopel and calls it reality peopel nee dto realize they can make their own reality brighter by stepping away from those vices, thanks allan for your great quote
