Default At Dawn earthbound Started This Thread
I heard deaths' voice through the roaring winds
she spoke in the distance
"be mine.... be my Valentine, just for awhile
let not the out side keep us apart.
reject the sun of this cold, cold world"
In dawns' half-closed eyes;
memories of long forgotten love
permeating the mind, the wall between life and death
(is it her; my love) only my demise can re-unite us
this I screamed.
No longer slave to this cruel reality

Those two lines are my favourite, they are amazing in my opinion.
I love the imagery given off in this poem, as well as the feeling.

Dear earthbound,

First , and what a poem! It is quite mesmerizing to say the least, and captured my intrigue from top to bottom. I am a lover of poems that get the "affective domain" of my brain spinning...and this does...just wow. Keep'm comin'! Love it!

What was your inspiration for this if you care to share?

Ahhh...thank you. I knew the "long lost love" was really the inspiration....and was interested if it was a personal account....and I see that makes it all the more "authentic". Thank you again for sharing such lovely work.

Kim
