So much beauty in the world
No wonder I got used to this -
Watching the world from behind a lens,
Filming and capturing worldly bliss.
There's so much out there to admire -
Beauty, and love, and serenity.
In the quiet of nature, I can feel it -
A special beauty crafted just for me!
Still I watch from behind this glass,
But something's different now.
I find I'm editing so much more,
I'm running out of life somehow.
I'm always adding colour
Where reality had only grays -
And bringing things to focus...
I've got to work for days.
Yes, something's different now.
My beautiful world was taken away!
Where yesterday was peace and love,
Exists only pain and lies today.
Sadly, this world is now my home -
Where animals and people live in exile,
Brothers take up arms against sisters
For their country, not their blood, they smile!
But this makes for quite sad pictures,
And so here I am to edit in the beauty
That once was found so plentifully
In a world edited just for me.

Sorry if it's in the wrong place, wasn't quite sure! Inspiration: I spent the day at school taking photos for the year-book. Lots of fun stuff, friendships and smiles and well high-school life! (Not really allowed to take pictures of the sadder side, teachers would never approve!) Anyways - long philosophical discussion with my "other self" a little later got me thinking, and it was wished that life had an editor program. Great stuff. Anyone else know of JPiC poems with this sentiment? I'd love to see them!
Smiles!,
