Haiti

You were the essence of beauty,
With your richness and stamina.
your glory and the way you stand out.
People have fought for you.
and even died for you.
Foe the love you give.
And a home you gave your people.
They all took care of you,
and asissted in your growth and history.
but over the years, you weren't treated with the respect,
Or given the love you were use to.
Peple would come to you.
Would rob and rape your essence.
through you come in peace.
they invaded and tried to exploit you.
through your followers and citizens fought for your honor,
and through the ordeal, you have lost your luster.
you can't even love or protect your people like you're use to.
Or some don't care.
They just take what they want and leave.
Or leave because you don't provide,
Your riches no more.
However, you are always remembered,
For your history.
